In 1994 our fastest PCs boasted Windows 3.1 (and at best an eye-watering 8MB of RAM) and less than 8% of UK households had internet access.

A couple of little companies called Yahoo and Amazon were launched.

East 17 was the Christmas number 1, Nelson Mandela had become the first black South African president, and Friends was first shown on TV.

Meanwhile in Cornwall, Paul Miller left a firm of accountants with a vision – to embrace rapidly advancing technology within the accounting industry, whilst still forming the personal face-to-face relationships that he feels drive business.

Who could have imagined that 25 years down the line, his firm Cornish Accounting Solutions would have grown to be one of Cornwall’s most successful accountancy firms?

The awards cabinet is now full of accolades – from a Xero Platinum award, to ‘Firm of the Year’ with 2020group, from Theo Paphitis SBS to ‘King of Pioneering Accounting’, and Paul with his trusty team doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon.

And yet, we could do none of this without you and your trust. Your business is a deeply personal and highly valuable part of your life. By giving us the opportunity to work with you, to understand your vision, and to help you grow, you have in turn helped us expand, and build our reputation.

So with that in mind, we would like to offer you all our heartfelt thanks for coming along with us on our shared journey. Together, we have weathered the ups and downs of business, the recessions, the countless governments, and ever-changing legislation.

The world feels like a different place now than how it was back in 1994, but we are eager and excited to see what the future holds.
